CERRIX appoints Niels Van Weereld as new CEO to lead company’s next phase of growth-header.
The Hague, Netherlands - CERRIX, a leading SaaS provider specializing in Governance, Risk, Compliance management and Audit (GRCA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Niels Van Weereld as the company’s new CEO.
As from January 1st 2025, Niels will succeed Paul Bruggeman, founder of CERRIX and CEO for more than 10 years. Paul Bruggeman will stay within the company as Board Director and advisor to the CEO, focusing on product strategy, key customer engagements and international expansion.
With his proven track record in building SaaS companies, Niels brings relevant experience with two successful exits of AI companies serving similar customers as CERRIX. This brings a perspective on growth and innovation. Paul has a deep understanding of customer value creation. With Niels joining, CERRIX aims to strengthen its position in the European Market. Growth is expected through organic means, mergers and acquisitions, and an increased focus on AI for SAAS companies.

Niels joins CERRIX from Metamaze, a Belgium based AI tech company, where he served as co-founder and CEO. Niels was instrumental in the company’s inception, scaling the operations and expanding its market presence internationally. Early 2024, Niels led the acquisition and integration of Metamaze by Duco Technologies (UK).
With extensive experience in AI technology, Financial Services and SaaS, Niels has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry and is well-positioned to drive CERRIX’s continued success.
