Céline Vanbever appointed as Compliance & Legal Officer at Fortino Capital

Oct. 18th, 2017

The latest addition to the team at Fortino Capital is Céline Vanbever (32). She has been appointed as Compliance & Legal Officer. Céline is responsible for supporting Fortino Capital, and will also support the portfolio companies in legal, governance and compliance matters.

After completing her studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and at New York University, Céline gained her experience at renowned international law firms. She first spent three years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and then almost six years at Jones Day.

As a lawyer, Céline focuses on M&A, capital markets and financial transactions, with a specialisation in venture capital. She has represented both investors and entrepreneurs, primarily in the tech sector.

“Becoming a part of Fortino Capital feels like a natural step in my career to me,” explains Céline Vanbever. “Fortino believes in ambitious entrepreneurs, and shares its expertise to help companies in the portfolio with their development. These efforts for the entrepreneurs perfectly match my own vision, in which excellence and attention to the team are the keys to making an enterprise into a success story.”

Managing Partner Duco Sickinghe is delighted about Céline’s arrival: “Céline is a very welcome addition to the team at Fortino Capital. Her experience makes her exceptionally suitable for the diversity of the position and the interaction with the various shareholders. There is a good match with the team, and Céline’s expertise is certainly going to help us put Fortino Capital on the map to an even greater extent.”
