Fortino Capital expands its growth private equity presence in Germany by appointing Philipp Remy as Partner and opening an office in Munich
Munich, November 15th, 2022 - Fortino Capital, one of the leading technology investors, is excited to announce its expansion into Germany. With Sides and Peers, Fortino Capital has been actively investing in Germany over the last year. Its Growth PE II fund– with commitments today for more than 315M Euro, coming close to its final target – will allow Fortino Capital to also grow its growth private equity activities in the region with the team expansion and opening of an office in Munich.
Expansion in Germany

Philipp Remy appointed as Partner in Germany
Fortino’s DNA has always been recognized for the combination of strong investment talent and proven operational experience. Philipp Remy will expand Fortino Capital Growth Private Equity presence in Germany together with Matthias Kläsener as Operational Advisor.
Philipp has an international track record in the enterprise software industry with leading companies such as BlackSwan Technologies, C3.ai and Affiniti, focusing on large-scale digital transformation projects across multiple industries. Additionally, he actively invested in B2B software startups. Today, he is responsible for sourcing and driving new investments in Germany.

Matthias Kläsener, with a long and proven track record in IT cooperates with Fortino Capital as Operating Advisor. Most recently by taking on the role of CEO of Corporate Planning (CPM software) and before that as COO of proALPHA (ERP Software). He also has an excellent industry network that will be of great value in his new role at Fortino.
