Munich, December 20, 2022 - Fortino Capital, a European based growth investor in B2B software, today announces its investment in Symbio, a fast-growing business process management provider. Symbio, headquartered in Munich, has offices in Germany, Serbia and South Africa. More than 100 customers and 500,000 users worldwide benefit from the software.

Symbio is a leading Business Process Management provider with expertise in strategic process- and quality management with applications for process modelling, process design and data integrations with leading business applications such as Microsoft, SAP, Celonis and Atlassian. Symbio serves a wide range of industries and in particular sectors such as transport, automotive, manufacturing, utilities and pharma. Symbio serves clients such as Deutsche Bahn, E.ON, European Space Agency, Fresenius and ZF Friedrichshafen.

The Symbio Founders Oliver Zeller and Steffen Ploetz have built Symbio into a leading software company in the BPM field. The software is used by small, medium and large companies and currently has users in Europe, USA and Asia.

Fortino Capital is investing with the management in Symbio to further accelerate growth and expand internationally. Fortino will not only act as a sounding board for management but will also actively support further internationalization with its expertise in growing companies. For Fortino this marks the first Growth Private Equity investment in Germany.
