Fortino Capital has expanded its team by appointing Filip Van Innis as Investment Manager

Apr. 18th, 2017

Zaventem, 18 April 2017 – Investment company Fortino Capital appoints Filip Van Innis (29) as Investment Manager. In this position, Van Innis will focus on sourcing, realising deals and following up the portfolio.

After his Masters in Financial Economics at the University of Oxford, Van Innis worked for five years at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), from Associate up to Project Leader. With primary focus on Corporate Development, Telecom and Financial Services. During a secondment of one year with BNP Paribas Fortis, Van Innis worked on innovative opportunities in Retail Banking.

Duco Sickinghe, Managing Partner at Fortino Capital: “With Filip joining our team, we have even more expertise to support organisations and enable them to excel in the areas of strategy and growth, and successfully realise a digital transformation. In a short period, Filip has proven himself as a valuable and expert colleague, who is very engaged with the success of Fortino Capital.”

Filip Van Innis about his appointment with Fortino Capital: “I’m really looking forward to joining this bubbling cauldron of dynamism and expertise, and, together with my colleagues, turning Fortino Capital into a leading growth capital fund. For me, it’s a perfect fit, in terms of team, approach and values. I am stepping into a different world, though with many similarities. These days, management consultants help the corporate world with challenges to digitalize, to innovate and to become agile. Which is also the focus of Fortino Capital, but in the scale-up and SME landscape. And don’t be mistaken, this might well be the financial world, but it remains foremost a people business.”
